UdaipurTimes, Nov 4, 2026 - Democrats are projected to take control of the House of Representatives as results of the November 3, 2026, mid-term elections in the US have started to come in. The unfolding scenario is of a significant Democratic comeback, particularly in the House and also in some key Senate seats.

This election has been of great significance as it is an important measure of public support for Donald Trump who still has two years of his term left as President. The incoming results signal a setback for the Republicans which has had control over both the House and the Congress.

As per the latest reports, the Democrats have flipped six of the Republican-held seats in the House including Pennsylvania, North Carolina and New Jersey. In the Senate, so far the blue wave has now taken over North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio and, most importantly, Texas where the Democrats have never won a Senate seat since 1988.

Trump’s approval ratings had hit a low following discontent over soaring living costs, the prolonged war against Iran, tariff decisions and sharp rise in fuel prices.

The final count of seats in both the House of Representatives and Senate will decide the direction of Trump’s final two years as President.
