Udaipur, Oct 02, 2025: Usanas Foundation, in collaboration with the Centre for China Analysis and Strategy, organised a conference themed “When Dragon Meets Elephant: Civilizational Power Struggle of the Century.” The event took place at the Usanas Foundation office in Udaipur at 10am on Oct 02.
The participants included a distinguished panel of experts who shared their insights on contemporary and critical global issues. Key topics included the US-led tariff wars and their global impact, the ongoing technology rivalry between the US and China, the China-Pakistan axis, and other strategic challenges.
Former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Tejendra Khanna, delivered the keynote address. Other eminent speakers included Jayadeva Ranade, former RAW officer and President of the Centre for China Analysis and Strategy; Avnish Sharma, former RAW officer and Vice President of the Centre; and Major General Sudhakar former Colonel of the Mahar Regiment, along with several distinguished experts.
Dr. Abhinav Pandya, CEO and Founder of Usanas Foundation, has authored three prominent books on terrorism, viz. Radicalisation in India's Neighborhood, Terror Financing in Kashmir, and Jaish-e-Mohammad. He also served as Security Advisor to the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir at the time of Article 370’s abrogation. Speaking about this conference, Dr. Pandya said, “This conference reflects Usanas Foundation’s vision of creating a global intellectual platform to address pressing geopolitical challenges through collective dialogue and policy discourse.”
The foundation has a proven track record of hosting major international conferences, inviting prominent personalities from across the world. Notably, it partnered with India’s Ministry of External Affairs to host the 4th edition of the Maharana Pratap Annual Foreign Policy Dialogue.
The event comes at a crucial juncture when global power balances and strategic equations are undergoing significant shifts. The conference highlighted India’s role in shaping intellectual and policy frameworks on the international stage while fostering deeper global engagement.
