Valentine’s Day protest rally carried out in Udaipur

Various groups combined to carry out protest rally against celebration of Valentine’s day in Udaipur today. The protesters carried out a rally in the city and staged demonstration at Surajpole against the celebrations.

Officer bearers and members of over 12 organisations participated in the protest. Calling the celebration an influence of western culture and against the ethos of Indian culture, the protesters burnt down valentine day cards and posters.

Valentine’s Day protest rally carried out in Udaipur

Kamlendra Singh Panwar of Bajrang Sangh Mewar said that they jointly carried out a rally along with Sri Ram Sena and also got support from various other religious groups.

The protesters also used the occasion to commemorate the sacrifices of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and observed two min silence.

Panwar said that youth is carelessly following western culture and is ignoring the rich Indian culture. This is a path that will lead them no where.
