A van suddenly caught fire in Sector 13 Hiranmagri which falls under Savina police station. The incident occurred in front of Ashish Vatika which is one of the famous marriage gardens in Hiranmagri area.

The idle van had a spark in the lower area which was seen by gym operator Bhuwan Rana. After this the van caught fire and the front tyres of the car burst due to heat. People present got water pipes from inside the vatika and tried to control the fire. Fire was controlled but only for a few seconds. It spread immediately again. Fire brigade was called who doused the fire in 10 minutes. The owner of the van could not be traced for long.
