Various Programs on International Mother Language Day

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day 2012 on 21st February, volunteers of the Rajasthani Language Committee (Akhil Bhartiya Rajasthani Bhasha Sangarsh Samiti) will conduct state wide protests on Tuesday, 21st February to demand constitutional recognition of the Rajasthani language.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day 2012 on 21st February, volunteers of the Rajasthani Language Committee (Akhil Bhartiya Rajasthani Bhasha Sangarsh Samiti) will conduct state wide protests on Tuesday, 21st February to demand constitutional recognition of the Rajasthani language.

According to the Chief of Committee, Dr. Rajendra Barhat, all officials of the group have been assigned with various tasks and responsibilities.

State President, KC Malu; state organizer, Kalyansingh Shekhawat, state co-organizer, Mohan Kataria and other senior leaders of the committee will take part in mass protests alongwith various groups and committees namely Rajasthani sports, Rajasthani women, Rajasthani folk artist, Rajasthani Film, Rajasthani students and many other groups.

The organizing group has also appealed to all Rajasthani people to celebrate International Mother Language Day and to write a memorandum to Prime Minister of India to give Rajasthani language a constitutional status.

Rajasthani Online magazine to be launch

On the same day, an online version of Kathesar, a quarterly published magazine from Parilika village, Hanumangarh will also be launched by Prem Bhandari, international convener of Akhil Bhartiya Rajasthani Bhasha Sangarsh Samiti and media chairman of Rajasthan Association of North America (RANA).

The magazine is published by prominent writer Ramswaroop Kisaan and Dr. Satyanarayan Soni. Many NRI’s, including President, American Chapter of Rajasthan Foundation, K.K Mehta; Treasurer of RANA Dasharath Guggad, founder members – Arvind Bhandari, Sushil Shah, Kanak Goliya, President of Indian Daimond Color Association, New York Sushil Goyal and Chairman of RANA, Dr. Ajay Lodha will be present on the occasion.

The Rajasthani family movie, ‘Laado Marudhara ki Shaan’ will be displayed to the public. Many Rajasthani families located in America will watch this film together. The movie will complete its 100 days of release on 21st February and it has been on display in Sikar for more than 2 months now.

A memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh will be presented to the Indian Consulate in New York by RANA demanding the official recognition of the Rajasthani Language.
