No vehicle will be allowed to leave without a token...
MB Hospital and RNT Medical College are implementing a new parking system to safeguard vehicles from theft and illegal parking. A Jaipur-based company, has been awarded a contract for organizing parking at the hospital. The firm will be paid Rs 8.25 lakh per month for their services.
Vehicle Token is Mandatory
The new system involves installing barrier gates with sensors at the hospital’s main entrance. Vehicles entering the campus will need to get a token at the entrance, which must be deposited at the exit gate. No vehicle will be allowed to leave without a token.
The campus will be divided into six gates under the new system. The gate near the college, facing the Collectorate, will be open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM for staff access only. Another gate near the Super Specialty area will be reserved for ambulances during a 12-hour period. Gates numbered 3 and 4 will be open 24 hours a day.
Vehicles will enter through a barrier with a sensor that registers vehicle numbers. However, the sensor will only be on one side, making it impossible to exit through the entry gate.
At exit gate number 4, drivers must deposit their token with a guard. The gate between the Church and the new OPD (gate number 5) will allow vehicles to exit only from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Gate number 6 (Hathipol Gate) will be open 24 hours, with separate gates for entry and exit.
Emergency vehicles will have free entry, but drivers must still submit a token when leaving. To avoid queues, token facilities will be available outside the Emergency, OPD, Pediatric Hospital, and MB’s main building.
QR Codes for Staff Members & Students
The new system includes a QR code system. Staff vehicles will be parked on the ground floor of the Hathipol Municipal Corporation parking area, and QR codes will be issued to staff members and students only. The contractor will also install free parking boards displaying contact information.
Hospital Superintendent Dr. R.L. Suman stated that the new system will improve parking and help prevent vehicle theft. The system will be free of charge for all users. Private ambulances will remain outside, with only those carrying patients allowed entry.
