Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) demonstrated today at Surajpol against Akbaruddin Owaisi, Legislator of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM), Hyderabad for delivering hateful communal speech.

VHP members burnt the effigy of Owaisi and demanded strict action against the MIM leader. According to sources, Owaisi came into strong protest, after he had allegedly delivered hate speech in Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh that could spark communal tension.

Andhra Police has summoned Owaisi for deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings; Owaisi is in UK at present for medical treatment.
