In a horrible incident that took place today evening, a fast moving car went out of control, smashing a pedestrian, while itself getting caught in a blaze soon after the accident. The incident took place at Durga Nursery Road at 5:30 pm.

The collision was so bad that the victim, 22 year old Rajneesh Kumar, after being hit by the car, leaped over its bonnet, sustaining severe cuts and bruises on the face and other parts of the body.

According to the sources, Rajneesh, son of Narsingh Lal Gupta from Bundi had came to Udaipur to appear for the B.Ed exams. While passing through Durga Nursery Road today evening, a fast moving car rammed him. Soon after the accident the fuel tank of the car caught fire reducing it to ashes. There were 3 persons sitting in the car, two of them got terrified and ran away from the spot while the driver’s whereabouts are still not confirmed.

Fire brigade, promptly, reached the spot and took the fire under control while the injured was rushed to the hospital.

Police says that the person they have admitted in hospital is the driver of the car while according to people present on the scene; the person who has been admitted in the hospital is Rajneesh Kumar.

Although police refrained from giving any official comments citing that “the investigations are yet to be completed”.

Rajneesh is admitted in MB Hospital’s neurology ward, when our reporter reached the hospital, doctors were waiting for his MRI tests results and chose not to comment on Rajneesh’s health.
