A vehicle passing through the road leading from Jungle Safari Park on the banks of Lake Pichhola to Deendayal Upadhyay Park at Dudh Talai, captured a video of three panthers strolling merrily on the road. This road, apart from leading to tourist spots, is also a favorite for early morning walkers, trekkers and cyclists.

At the onset it looked as if a couple of Panthers were escorting their cub to the safety of the jungle. The video captures their stroll on the road. Interestingly, the area where the Panthers were seen houses the boarding point of the jetty to The Leela Palace Hotel and Lake Palace Hotel, both in Pichhola. The jungle where the Panthers eventually entered is the base of Deendayal Upadhyay Park.

This is not the first time that Panthers have been seen in this area. Machla Magra, a hill housing the Karni Mata temple and the Ropeway have been a Panther infested jungle always. Panthers have also entered the City Palace, which houses the residence of Maharana Arvind Singh.

Wild beasts, specially Panthers have been seen in the residential areas and tourist areas of Udaipur, suggesting that the lockdown period caused these animals to venture out of the jungle and explore the public and residential areas in Udaipur.
