Vidyapeeth Students support Employee Union, Demand to Sack Prafful Nagar

The Administrative layer at JRNVU is still facing the heat over the recent issue of Prafful Nagar’s locking up the Chancellor’s office, as the strike by employees of JRNVU entered its fourth day, today. Employee’s demands – Sack Prafful Nagar from his position.

The employees have been on strike ever since the recent Clash of the Titans viz. Nagars and Prof. Garg (Nagars seized JRNRVU Chancellor’s office, unlocked it amid Pressure) turned sour four days back. The personnel on strike give a base that the actions of Prafful Nagar have brought disgrace to the University’s name.

Voicing their full support for this demand, the student union is also standing tall with employee union. This support comes from student community despite being fully aware of the ill-effects of the strike. Om Parikh, Student Union informed UT “The Engineering exams which were pre-scheduled were cancelled because of this strike and the new admission procedures are also in cold-storage”. With no signs of backing away, he adds, “The strike will continue till the raised demand is met”.

Meanwhile, on a different dimension, recently appointed interim VC Prof. Sarangdevot seemed to be on his toes. Prof. Sarangdevot called up a meeting of all the the Dean, Directors of the University and instructed them to be prepared for the inspection of National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore.

Superiors of respective departments were instructed to be ready with all the necessary reports regarding quality assurance and excellence. The pending research work should also be completed on time, pointed Prof. Sarangdevot.

He also voiced the need of Anti-Ranging Committee, and asked the Deans to build one soon and be involved with its functioning. “Any complaint against raging should be reported to the Vice-Chancellors office with immediate effect”, he said.

Prof. Sarangdevot assured that, “All the department offices will start their normal functioning from Friday and the pending exams would also be scheduled.” The meeting was attended by officials including Dr. Sanjay Mishra, Dr. C.P Agrawal, Dr. Prakash Sharma, Working Registrar, Dr. Lalit Pandey, Chandrshekhar Diwedi, Registrar, Riyaz Hussain & Harish Sharma.

Now, ‘how to roll the ball?’ would be the question in the minds of the administrative think-tanks at JRNVU, Udaipur.
