Residents of Bhuvana village near Udaipur have turned angry towards Municipal Council’s vehicles for dumping tons of waste on the roadside which causes serious health problems for people around the locality.

Angry residents punctured the council’s vehicle carrying waste and seeing the situation the driver of the tractor ran away from there.

Villagers near Buvana bypass has taken this step in order to stop municipal workers’ for using the place as dumping yard although two other places at Balicha and Titrdi has been meant for dumping.

“I strictly directed our men, not to dump the waste anywhere except the places we have fixed, I will investigate the matter and will take further step to stop such an act,” said Babulal who is the President of council’s Garage Samiti.

Residents of the area has complaint several times for alleged waste dumping which causes foul smell in the area, the villagers are also worried about recent deaths of cattle who died after eating the waste.

Tulsiram, one of the drivers who carry waste every day to dumping yard said, “We don’t dump anything at Bhuvana, today when our tractor was passing through the village, resident misunderstood and stopped the vehicle forcefully.”

When asked is it possible that some drivers are allegedly taking diesel fare till Balicha and dumping waste somewhere nearby city to get the commission, Babulal said, “No, I don’t think so but I will thoroughly investigate the issue.”

Tons of waste has been seen dumped just near Bhuvana bypass which has become a big problem for the residents but nobody is ready to take the responsibility.
