In an effort led by the Udaipur district administration to achieve a 100% voter turnout in the Lok Sabha elections, city residents showed remarkable enthusiasm and participation. To encourage voting, voters were offered discounts on bills at various tourist spots, hotels, and restaurants starting from April 26,2024.
After casting their votes during the day, city residents, along with their families, made their way to tourist spots and hotel resorts. Amidst this, everyone took photos with banners displayed at these venues. The aim was to raise awareness among voters, and discounts ranging from 10% to 50% were provided at the city's tourist spots, hotel resorts, and restaurants.
As part of this initiative, displaying the voting symbol (ink mark on the finger) and presenting either Aadhaar card or voter ID entitles individuals to a 40% discount on entry tickets to the Fish Aquarium until April 28. At the Wax Museum, a 20% discount on entry tickets was available until April 26. Moreover, entry fees at the Pratap Gaurav Kendra have been reduced to Rs 50/- from Rs 160/- until May 3, 2024 and for the Laser Water Show, it is reduced to Rs 50/- from Rs 100/-. Additionally, adult tickets for the Neemuch Mata Ropeway will cost Rs 185/-, while for children, it will be Rs 169/-.
