Want Rs 1,000 in Your FASTag Wallet? Do This Simple Task and Get a Reward From NHAI

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is offering a reward of Rs 1,000 directly into your FASTag account for reporting dirty public toilets. The process is simple, and all you need to do is report the issue through the Rajmargyatra mobile app.
People travelling on India’s national highways often face problems due to the poor condition of public toilets along the roads. The government has built public toilets at various locations on several national highways and expressways. However, due to a lack of proper maintenance and adequate services, passengers often face difficulties.
Rs 1,000 Reward for Reporting Dirty Toilets
NHAI has now taken steps to address the problem of poorly maintained public toilets. Under this campaign, passengers will receive a Rs 1,000 reward for reporting dirty toilets. The campaign was started in September 2025, and NHAI has now extended it until June 30, 2027. So far in 2026, 429 passengers have reported dirty toilets, and Rs 1,000 has been credited to each of their FASTag wallets.
How to Report a Dirty Toilet Through the App
This offer is applicable to passengers travelling on National Highways. To report a dirty toilet, download the Rajmargyatra mobile app. Users have to upload a geo-tagged and time-stamped photograph of the dirty toilet. While uploading the picture, passengers have to provide details such as the time, name, location, vehicle registration number and mobile number. Once the information is verified and found to be correct, Rs 1,000 will be recharged into the FASTag account.
The uploaded photograph and other details will be verified before the reward is issued. If the information is found to be correct, Rs 1,000 will be credited to the respective FASTag account. The reward will be given only once per vehicle. It cannot be transferred to another person, and there is no option to receive the reward in cash. If multiple complaints are submitted about the same toilet on the same day, the complaint received first through the app will be considered.
This facility is applicable only to public toilets on National Highways that are built, operated or maintained by NHAI. Petrol pumps, dhabas and other public toilets are not covered under this scheme. All complaints are checked through AI-assisted screening and manual verification.
