Proposal for water recycle plant is in pipeline for Udaipur railway station. Ajmer and Jodhpur zones are already equipped with water recycle plant.

Udaipur railway station will have a water recycle plant in the near future. Water used for cleaning the trains will not go waste under this project instead re-used for other similar purposes. This information was given by TP Singh, General Manager of North Western railway on Saturday. GM TP Singh was inaugurating RPF barrack at Udaipur railway station on Saturday.

LED light work will be done by the end of March on all railway stations falling under North Western railway. It is expected that LED lights will save an expense of 3 crore rupees on electricity bill. GM TP Singh also attended a cultural programme in Railway Training School same evening and awarded winning teams and participants.

City station now has a 20-bed RPF barrack which have provisions of kitchen, facilities, entertainment room, exercise room and dining hall. Cupboards, side tables, mattresses, dining table etc. basic amenities are available for RPF teams.

A mechanised laundry work has also commenced at Udaipur railway station. Having a capacity of 1.5 tonnes, this laundry can wash 3000 bed roles of railways in a day. The laundry machine is worth 1.77 crores.
