5:30 pm: IRGC’s Nvy chief, Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, has been quoted as saying that Iranian naval forces launched “several consecutive waves” of attacks against US forces in three military bases in the region - Abu Dhabi’s al-Dhafra and Bahrain’s Sheikh Isa. The targets, Tangsiri claimed, included patriot radar systems, planes and aircraft fuel storage tanks.
US Central Command has described US attacks on Iran’s Kharg Island as a “large-scale precision strike”.
Israeli military has said it carried out several waves of strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in Beirut and southern Lebanon on Friday, including multiple command centres.
Reports say that US is sending 2,500 more Marines, amphibious assault ship to Middle East.
4:00 pm: Two Indian-flagged vessels carrying 92,700 tonnes of LPG have crossed Strait of Hormuz Saturday morning. Shivalik and Nandadevi will dock at Mundra and Kanda ports on March 16 and 17. All Indian crew in Persian Gulf are safe, says the government.

He also said his forces had heavily bombed military targets on Kharg Island, which is Iran’s oil hub, and claimed to have “totally obliterated” them in “one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East”. However, Iran’s Fars news agency said that Iranian military were still operating from the island.
Kharg Island is a highly restricted area and is Iran's economic lifeline through which 90% of its oil exports flow.
The US Embassy in Baghdad has come under attack from Iran; its helipad was struck, according to Iraqi officials. Smoke was seen rising from the building.
Saudi Arabia intercepted drones from Iran as the latter continues to strike US assets in the Gulf.
An Iranian military spokesperson has warned that if Iranian oil infrastructure was attacked, Iran would strike all the US-linked oil facilities in the area.
Qatar has issued a temporary precautionary evacuation of residents in specified areas. The country said that it had intercepted two missiles; explosions were heard in Doha.
