It is March and we have almost reached the mid month. Yet there doesn't seem to be any chance of the winter season making way for the summers. Cold waves and dust laden strong winds are having a disturbing effect. People are facing health issues because of prolonged winters.
Udaipur region faced strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 km/hr making it almost impossible for the public to stay outdoors. As per information received, Jaipur and Ajmer witnessed rain showers on the day of Holi i.e. 10th march. Even hailstorm was experienced at certain places. The met department informed that the weather is likely to remian this way for some time as depression in the west might continue. People had to resort to woolen wear even in the afternoon because of cold waves. The maximum temperature recorded on Wednesday was 26 degrees whereas minimum was at 16.4 degrees.
On 10th March, not much people played Holi as cold waves were blowing the entire day. Also the fear of coronavirus is ruling the minds. Children enjoyed to a certain extent but were called indoors quite early.
"Which season is this"..."kalyug mein ab kya naya mausam aayega"... this was the expression overheard on the day of Holi.
