Udaipur,17.07.23 - A 25 year old woman has lodged a complaint of rape at Savina police station of the Udaipur city alleging a man for raping her.

On the basis of her complaint an FIR has been registered under various sections of Indian Penal Code including section 376 and an investigation into the matter has been launched, said Station House Officer Savina Police Station Yogendra Vyas.

Vyas said that in her report the victim woman claimed that the accused first be friended her and raped her on various occasion on the pretext of getting married to her. but later he started ignoring him and also demanded cash from her.

Fed up with his demands and also the threats the victim woman lodged an complaint to the Savina police based on which the investigation has been initiated and the matter is still under investigation , said Vyas.

In yet another incidence a married woman of Tidi village of Udaipur on Monday presented a report Infront of the SP Bhuwan Bhushan claiming that she was being kidnapped and was allegedly raped at various occasions by the accused.

Station House Officer of Tidi Police Station Leela Ram said " We have received a complaint from the victim woman based on which an investigation has been launched and further action will be taken once the investigation of the matter will get over".
