Local women from Kherwara gathered outside the SDMs office on 18 October and voiced their demand for extending the cut off time for sound limits beyond 10pm.  This request was being made only for the Navratri festival period. The women staged a peaceful protest outside the SDM office and requested a meeting with the SDM. However, the SDM remained unavailable for nearly half an hour.

While waiting for the SDM, the women gathered to perform Bhajan Kirtan outside the office in order to  emphasize their demand and asking the SDM to step outside nad meet them. Once the SDM met them, the women handed over a written memorandum highlighting their demands.
