A workshop for “Hunger Project Jaipur” was jointly organized by Astha Sansthan & Jatan Sansthan at India International hotel today.

 
A workshop for “Hunger Project Jaipur” was jointly organized by Astha Sansthan & Jatan Sansthan at India International hotel today. This hunger project was designed for the rural development of Rajasthan. The main attraction of the conference was 11 th Sarojini Naidu Award Ceremony. The theme of discussion was Social Justice & Women empowerment. Women Sarpanch talked about their Successful Journey On this occasion, various villages Panchayat’s Sarpanch were present including sarpanch of Junda- Geeta Regar, Sarpanch of Kotaria-Manju Mali & Ward Sarpanch of Kaliwas- Lal Kanwar Jhala. Every women representative explained development & further efforts in their Panchayats like social justice, women rights, girl’s education, protection of food products, pension & mid day meals in schools etc. Experiences shared by all Sarpanch. Professor Arun Chaturvedi of Vardhman Mahaveer Open University as chief spokesman revealed that now scenario is changing when women are participating more & more in every field of India & media also has a big contribution in this noble development. Due to women empowerment, expectation for good administration is gaining ground. Geeta Regar- Sarpanch of Junda village shared her experiences when she was striving hard for the uprising of her village like arranging pensions for widows, getting approval of building infrastructure. Manju Mali- Sarpanch of Kotharia village shared about development in education. Mangi Devi Jatia-Sarpanch of Pachmata village revealed that she worked hard to bring the facility of electricity for bheel –garasia community. She also took some strict but appropriate decision of suspending two people who were not providing the mid day meal regularly. Laadkanwar Jhala- Sarpanch of Kaliwas expressed that the remuneration of Panchyat’s representatives should be increased in the same way as its getting increment for MP. Janardhan Ray Nagar- chief spokesperson of workshop & Prof. Hemendra Chandalia – at Humanities section of Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth said: “To get social justice, joint efforts of media & representatives is needed. Our minds are polluted & poisoned by ridiculous thoughts of casteism, male domination and communalism, which can be removed only by awareness. Hunger Project & Sarojini Naidu award: Kanika from hunger project revealed that the prize is given to the best writings about rural development & Panchayati Raj. It includes the prize money of Rs. 2 lacs to top 3 articles every year. The administration of program was done by Ashwini Paliwal from Aastha Sansthan.
