Workers from two different organizations including Power House Workers Union and Secure Meters Workers Union gave memorandums on their various issues with the employers.

Power House workers demanded that the jobs of meter reading and bill distribution is going to be on contractual basis which will affect their work and also be a loss to the Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, (AJMER DISCOM).

Workers demanded that several employees are working on temporary basis from last 10-15 years. They have more experience of meter reading. Therefore, Ajmer DISCOM should appoint them as permanent employees rather than giving the work to any third party.

On the other hand, employees of Secure Meter presented a memorandum to ADM City and demanded to resolve their various issues regarding pay increments, perks and facilities.

Lokendra Singh Rathod, district president of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh said, “Workers of Secure Meters tried to reach company’s administrative officials with their problems but after getting no positive response, they formed a union for their rights. The union was founded just 5 months ago.”
