Finland named happiest country in the world for the 8th year
Udaipur, March 21, 2025 - Finland has been ranked as the happiest country in the world for the eighth consecutive year, according to the World Happiness Report 2025. The report was published by the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford. Other Nordic countries, including Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden, also secured top positions. These nations are known for their strong social support and high quality of life.

India ranked 118th in the happiness index, while Pakistan ranked 109th. The United States dropped to 24th place, its lowest ranking ever. In 2012, the US was ranked 11th. Afghanistan remains the unhappiest country in the world, ranking 147th. The report highlights the severe challenges faced by Afghan women.
