WZCC receives 1st Prize at New Delhi Republic Day Parade
The team from WZCC which participated in the Republic Day Parade at New Delhi was conferred with the first prize in the Children Category for their performance on ‘Dang Adivasi Holi Nritya.’

After receiving this achievement, Center Head Furkan Khan said that out of all the entries, West Zone Cultural Center’s Gujarat based dance was chosen by the Defense Ministry. The 150 students belonging to Dang district of south Gujarat were trained at Shilpgram and WZCC center, guided by PadmaShree Bansi Kaul.
The students were trained in the Dang Dance in Delhi for 23 days and gave their final performance on 26th January in front of PM, President and Chief Guest Barack Obama (USA President).
Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday presented the trophy to the center head at a function in New Delhi.
