Yellow alert in 13 districts-Cyclone "Maha" to hit Rajasthan

Cyclone "Maha" active in Arabian Sea
Rajasthan is going to face the effect of Cyclone "Maha" rising in Arabian Sea. Yellow alert has been declared for 13 districts including Udaipur. As per the met department, Cyclone "Maha" is speedily advancing towards coastal areas. It is likely to hit Gujarat and coastal areas of Maharashtra on the night of 6th November. This will create a low pressure area in the South-East regions and will result in heavy rainfall in many districts of Rajasthan on 7th November. Wind is expected to blow at 80 to 100 kms/hr following which Rajasthan is under Yellow alert. Heavy rains in Rajasthan's 13 districts will affect Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Rajasamand, Dungarpur, Tonk, Pratapgarh and Udaipur and a few other districts.
