A youth slipped and drowned into Jaisamand Lake on Sunday evening. He was an engineer by profession.

Rajat (27) from Jawar Mines was enjoying his Sunday with friends at Jaisamand Lake. He and his friends went to Jaisamand to celebrate Dussehra and have some picnic time together. After enjoying their day, Rajat and his friends went towards the lake at Valkunda road. Around 4 p.m. while they were about to have a swim, Rajat slipped and fell into the lake and went down into the deep waters.

When the friends saw him drowning, they shouted for help. The villagers nearby and the public after hearing their cries went to the spot. Police was also informed immediately. It was around half an hour later that the body could be pulled out of the lake with the help of villagers and sent to mortuary. The family members were informed who live in Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, police came into sudden action after the incident. All the tourists who were enjoying their selfie moments with the elephant statues down the steps that lead to the water and those who were feeding the fish in the lake were asked to move away from the water.
