Zila Parishad General Meeting Held
The general meeting of the District Council (Zila Parishad) was organised today where the regional issues were highlighted by the people’s representatives.
The meeting was led by Madhu Mehta, District Chief in which she asked the authorities from various departments to take a note of the issues highlighted by the representatives and do the needful and give the information about it to the House (Council).

The working agencies were instructed to work on and file a report on the points raised on Road Construction by Parmanand Mehta, Premprakash Labana and Khayalilal Suhalka. It was assured by the District Collector that the road construction sites would be visited soon in this month. The representatives were asked to file their issues related to same.
The officers of Water Works Department were instructed to transfer the record of Janta Jal Yojna to Panchayatiraj and take its utility certificate if it has been carried out through a samiti.
K.V.S Ranawat, Superintending Engineer assured that availability of drinking water is monitored properly and wherever requirement will come it will be made available immediately. Sharda Roat and Premprakash Labana stated an urgent need to improve the quality of DE fluoridation technique.
Sukhveer Katara, Girva Pradhan assured help from Panchayat Samiti in Handpumps repairing campaign. Other Panchayat Samitis also agreed on extending help in such campaigns.
Vimla Bhandari from Salumber area talked about providing benefits of Som Kala Amba project to the villages and expressed rage on incomplete work of Bhabarana Canal work. The Collector assured to find out a solution to this problem with help of Dungarpur administration.
Gautam Meena, member of the council requested to provide true and logical information to the house so that some solution can be provided. Pratap singh Chauhan and Khayalilal Suhalka raised the issue of liquor shops.
Additional chief working officer Harsh Savansukha tabled the plan of various projects to be taken up in the year 2012-13 and the house supported it. He informed that of the total funds available 70.35 % was incurred from backward area donation fund and 1204 projects out of 1997 were completed under BRGF plan.
In the 13th financial Commission a total of Rs.121.70 lac were received in the year 2011-12 of which permission have been sanctioned for works of Rs. 89.05 lac. He also presented the details about the fund received by the State Finance Commission under Mining Royalty.
Madhu Mehta expressed gratitude at the end of the meeting. Chauhan; Chief Planning Officer, Sudhir Dave; Superintending Engineer KVS Ranawat (Water Works), K Rannawat (Electric); Deputy Forest Conservation Officer IPS Matharu; O P Sharma; and other officers from various departments, members of Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samitis and BDO.
