Mahindra’s 4 New SUVs Coming in 2027: Vision.S, BE.07 and More
Mahindra is reportedly planning four major SUV and pickup launches for 2027. Here’s what to know about the Vision.S, Scorpio Lifestyler, BE.07 and Vision.T.
October 12, 2026: Mahindra is preparing to launch four important new SUVs in 2027. The expected lineup includes the production version of the Vision.S concept, the Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck, the BE.07 electric SUV and the production version of the Vision.T concept. Of these, the BE.07 and Vision.T are expected to be fully electric models. According to reports, testing of these upcoming vehicles has already begun.
Mahindra aims to expand its premium vehicle portfolio over the next few years. According to the company's plan announced on May 5, 2026, it intends to launch 10 internal combustion engine (ICE) models and six electric vehicles between fiscal years 2027 and 2031. As part of this broader plan, at least four major launches are expected in 2027.
1. Mahindra Vision.S: New Compact SUV
Mahindra unveiled the Vision.S concept in August 2025, and preparations are reportedly underway to introduce its production version. The SUV could launch in the first quarter of 2027. According to reports, the vehicle has been undergoing road tests for around a year.
In terms of design, the SUV is expected to feature a boxy shape, a tall body and a rugged appearance. Despite its tough, body-on-frame-inspired styling, it is likely to use a monocoque platform, which could offer better on-road comfort and handling.
The cabin could feature a two-spoke steering wheel, a fully digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system and a panoramic sunroof.
The Vision.S is expected to be the first Mahindra model built on the NU_IQ platform. This platform is designed to support conventional internal combustion engines, partially electrified powertrains and fully electric vehicles. However, the compact SUV is expected to launch with a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine.
2. Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler: New Pickup Truck
The Scorpio Lifestyler could be another major addition to Mahindra's lineup in 2027. Unveiled in August 2026, the pickup truck is based on the Scorpio-N.
The vehicle is being developed primarily for off-roading enthusiasts and adventure lovers. Mahindra aims to combine the Scorpio-N's rugged build with the practicality of a pickup truck.
According to reports, Mahindra plans to begin sales by April 2027. Its starting price is expected to be below INR 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
However, the final price, engine specifications and complete list of variants are yet to be confirmed by the company.
3. Mahindra BE.07: Potential Range of More Than 650 km
Mahindra unveiled the BE.07 electric SUV concept in August 2022. Its production version could arrive in 2027. This five-seater, C-segment electric SUV is expected to compete with the Tata Harrier.ev.
The vehicle is likely to measure around 4.6 metres in length, 1.9 metres in width and 1.7 metres in height.
In terms of its powertrain, features and battery options, the BE.07 could share similarities with the Mahindra XEV 9S. At least one potential variant is expected to offer a driving range of more than 650 km on a single charge. However, this figure has not been officially confirmed, and the final specifications are still awaited.
According to reports, the BE.07 has been undergoing road tests for more than six months. It could therefore launch around the middle of 2027.
4. Mahindra Vision.T: An Electric Alternative to the Thar Roxx?
Mahindra unveiled the Vision.T concept in August 2025, and its production version could arrive in 2027. The SUV could be positioned as an electric alternative to the Thar Roxx, with a more rugged and muscular design.
The Vision.T is expected to be the first electric SUV developed on Mahindra's NU_IQ platform. The same platform could also underpin conventional engine-powered models, including the Vision.S.
Unlike the BE and XEV series of electric SUVs, the Vision.T is likely to focus more on off-road performance. A potential dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) version, increased ground clearance and shorter overhangs could improve its off-road capabilities.
Testing of the Vision.T is reportedly at an earlier stage than that of some of the other upcoming models. It could therefore launch around the festive season of 2027. However, Mahindra has not announced a confirmed launch schedule.
Why Are Mahindra's New SUVs Important?
The launch of these four vehicles could further expand Mahindra's SUV and electric vehicle portfolios. The Vision.S is expected to appeal to compact SUV buyers, while the Scorpio Lifestyler will target pickup truck buyers and off-roading enthusiasts. The BE.07 could attract families looking for an electric SUV, while the Vision.T could appeal to buyers seeking an electric vehicle with strong off-road capabilities.
However, the launch timelines, prices and several specifications of these vehicles remain based on reports and expectations. In particular, the BE.07's claimed range of more than 650 km and the Vision.T's potential dual-motor AWD version have not been officially confirmed.
The competitiveness of these Mahindra models in 2027 will depend on their final prices, features, performance and launch schedules, which the company is yet to announce.
