November 03, 2026: British motorcycle brand Norton, owned by TVS Motor, has unveiled a new 450cc urban motorcycle. The company has not yet announced the bike's official name. However, it features a 454cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum torque of 45Nm. Other highlights include an aluminium frame and a large 8-inch TFT touchscreen display. The motorcycle is expected to go on sale in 2027.

The new motorcycle will be positioned in a lower engine-capacity segment than Norton's Manx and Atlas series. The company says the engine has been developed to offer easy handling and quick responses on everyday roads.

Aluminium Frame and 8-Inch TFT Display

The new Norton urban motorcycle features an all-new aluminium frame. The company aims to make the bike more agile and improve rider confidence through its handling characteristics. Based on the images released so far, the motorcycle has a relatively compact design and an upright riding position.

However, Norton has not yet revealed details about the bike's kerb weight, suspension travel, braking hardware or fuel tank capacity.

One of the most notable technology features is its 8-inch TFT touchscreen display. A screen of this size is relatively unusual for a motorcycle in this engine-capacity segment. It will also offer connected features and services. The design approach seen in Norton's newer models following its acquisition by TVS Motor is also reflected in this motorcycle.

Could the New Norton Motorcycle Launch in India?

The new 454cc motorcycle is expected to help Norton expand its presence in the lower engine-capacity segment. India and the US are considered important markets for the company's future international expansion.

The motorcycle is being developed with support from engineering centres in the UK, Italy and India. Norton's design and development operations are based in Solihull, UK. The project also receives technical support from TVS Motor's global engineering centre in Italy and its research and development centre in India.

Norton currently operates more than 50 retail outlets across 10 countries, including the UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain. The brand has also partnered with Foster + Partners to design its new retail stores.

However, the motorcycle's official name, price and India launch date have not yet been announced. Its expected price in India, if launched, also remains unknown. Norton may reveal more details ahead of the planned start of sales in 2027.
