Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Revealed: Engine, Features and Expected India Launch
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 has made its debut at EICMA 2026, bringing a new 743cc parallel-twin engine, updated suspension, advanced rider aids and touring-focused features. Here is a look at its key specifications, UK prices converted to INR and the latest update on its expected India launch.
November 04, 2026: The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 made its debut at EICMA 2026. After being spotted during testing for a long time, the motorcycle’s specifications and European prices have been revealed. This new adventure tourer features a 743cc parallel-twin engine, advanced electronics and multiple riding modes.
Bookings have reportedly started in several European countries. In the UK, prices start at INR 8.92 lakh, based on the listed price of £6,999. However, Royal Enfield has not yet officially announced the motorcycle’s launch timeline in India.
New 743cc Engine and 6-Speed Gearbox
The Himalayan 750 is powered by a new 743cc air- and oil-cooled parallel-twin engine. It produces a maximum power of 55hp at 7,000rpm and peak torque of 63Nm at 5,000rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
In comparison, Royal Enfield’s existing 648cc parallel-twin engine produces 47hp and 52.3Nm of torque. The new Himalayan 750 therefore offers higher power and torque figures.
The company claims that the engine delivers 90% of its maximum torque from as low as 3,500rpm. This should help the motorcycle deliver strong pulling power at lower engine speeds.
Showa Suspension and 19-Inch Front Wheel
The new Himalayan 750 features a fully adjustable 43mm Showa upside-down (USD) front fork with 190mm of suspension travel. At the rear, it gets a Showa monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound, along with 175mm of suspension travel.
The motorcycle comes with a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. Depending on the variant, buyers can choose between alloy and cross-spoke wheels.
The alloy-wheel version uses CEAT Crossrad AT tyres, while the cross-spoke-wheel variant comes with Vredestein Centauro XR tyres.
Braking duties are handled by dual 280mm front discs and a 255mm rear disc, all equipped with two-piston callipers. The motorcycle also features switchable rear ABS, cornering ABS and lean-sensitive traction control.
Five Riding Modes and 6-Axis IMU
The Himalayan 750 is equipped with several electronic features. It offers five riding modes:
-
Road
-
Road Sport
-
Rain
-
Trail
-
Custom
The riding modes allow adjustments to engine mapping, traction control and ABS settings. The traction control system offers four levels: Low, Medium, High and Off. The motorcycle also features cruise control and a six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
Riders can manage these settings through a 4-inch round TFT display. Similar to the Himalayan 450, the display supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, phone functions and music controls. The motorcycle also features a SIM-enabled connected system with 4G and GPS support.
Other features include a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), self-cancelling indicators, an emergency brake light, two USB Type-C ports and a new LED headlight.
Seat Height, Weight and Other Dimensions
The standard seat height of the Himalayan 750 is 815mm. Royal Enfield will also offer two alternative seats as accessories. The low seat reduces the height to 795mm, while the touring seat increases it to 835mm.
The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 205mm and a fuel tank capacity of 17.8 litres. The European version weighs 223kg, while the Indian version is listed at 224kg.
