Udaipur, making its place in the top 10 in most of the lists including the most culturally rich city, the best place to get a ‘YES’ or the best city in the world, the city has proved another time that there is no escaping the grandeur of this small place on the world map.

CNN Travel’s Mark Johanson listed the ‘10 Romantic Destinations you should know about’ in which Udaipur stood at the top among other beautiful places of the world such as Waiheke Island (NZ), Hoi An (Vietnam), Middleburg (USA) and Vernazza (Italy) etc.

Keeping aside Paris, the author has listed 10 little-known spots that arouse the romance and excitement of couples who visit these places, while equally being dreamy.

According to Mark, “Appearing like a mirage on the edge of the Thar Desert, Udaipur is treasure of flamboyant palaces, majestic forts and streets brimming with jewelers and craftsmen.”

“After basking in the Rajput-era opulence along Lake Pichola, it’s easy to see why Udaipur is considered one of the most romantic spots in all of Asia.”

Other cities included in the list are Waiheke Island (NZ), Cafayate (Argentina), Hoi An (Vietnam), Quirimbas Islands (Mozambique), Middleburg, Virginia (USA), Mostar (Bosnia & Herzegovina), Peter Island (British Virgin Islands), Vernazza (Italy) and Galle (Sri Lanka).

The list was made prior to Valentine’s Day to suggest couples the best destinations that will help them express their love.
