Today, he is standing for UMC elections for the post of Parshad from ward 55. Brought up in the family with political background, this field is his ultimate resort. He wants to work for the people, and their welfare.

Message: Men are powerful and there is nothing in this world that cannot be achieved.

Sahil Thakur (Wedding Planner) For the perfect, fairy tale wedding, Sahil started the company Frozen Apples at a very young age. Now at 23, he has offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat and crossed national boundaries to Bali. His company has been labeled as No. 1 Wedding Planner Company of Udaipur. Considering his mother and his girlfriend to be his biggest support pillars, he aims to be one of the biggest names in the world.

Message: Men are box of sentiments and emotions. Only a genuine, sensible man will keep the commitment towards his work, family and loved ones.

His next step- to start a Production House in the lands of Udaipur and two years down the line, people will see his dream come true. He solely believes in hard work and only Hard Work.

Message: There is a need of equality among people of Udaipur. Men should avoid eve teasing and passing comments to women. To get respect, you need to give respect.

Himanshu Jain (Freelance Artist) Working for TV channels, radio houses, events and as VO artist, Himanshu is widely known as RJ Himanshu who was the first male voice RJ of Udaipur’s first private radio channel 94.3 My Fm. He joined MY Fm on 7th July 2007 and since then, there is no turning back. He left MY Fm in 2012 and is actively working as a freelance artist today. He never had to plan anything in life as what he dreamt, came true for him. Always living in the moment, he seeks happiness, and usually receives it in loads.

Message: Men also have a day! Be proud to be a Man. Men are very important for they contribute a lot in the society. Heard of ‘Mard’aani, the movie?

Prashant Jain (Restaurateur) Owner of Ranaji Restaurant, he left his mundane life of working in a corporate to be an entrepreneur. Udaipur’s largest pure vegetarian restaurant, Ranaji serves variety of delectable food amid the scenic beauty of Fateh Sagar. He is 31 and aspires to open up a chain of restaurants all over the country.

Message: Be independent and self sufficient. I have worked as an employer for last 14 years and found that nothing will come your way if you think differently and make the right decisions of your life.

8 Men of Udaipur and their Thriving Lives Amit Shrimali (Theater Artist) Writer, Director and actor at Natyansh, a 25 year old theater artist is here to speak and act his heart out. One of his solo acts ‘Astitva’, based on women empowerment, was one performance that he remembers the most. After the completion of his act, a father came to him and said, “I will make sure I do not behave with my daughter the way you have projected in this act”; that was where Amit realized he had made the connection. He believes that one day, every theater artist will survive and sustain in this field that instead, walk out for money, fame and name.

Message: If you have dared to dream, fight for it too. You will face pressures from the society or people around you but if you believe in your dreams, they will come true!

Bharat Verma (Dancer) A dancer by heart, body and soul, he has made Udaipur proud on an International level. At the age of 28, he recently performed at the prestigious Lincoln Center in USA and took 2 week workshop at Kaatsbaan International Dance Center (NY, USA) teaching Bollywood, Gujarati Garba and Rajasthani folk. He also took workshop at United Nations’ Friendship Ambassadors Foundation with 500 students coming from around the world. Targeting to enter Bollywood, he is currently learning choreography from Shanker Ji Vyas and hopes to be launched soon as a dance director.

Message: The people of Udaipur need to respect art and culture as well as the artist. I have seen the level of International art and Udaipur is no less.

Adil Pathan (DJ and Event Planner) Better known as DJ Aadil, he is one of the most successful and eminent DJs of Udaipur who has played at international platform with artists like DJ Sasha, Prodigy and Rock Thomas. It’s been 7 years now, he is actively handling events across the country and overseas. His recent successes includes organizing events in Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey and are soon to come in the UAE. He believes in passion for work, determination and honesty.

Message: Leading a busy life in today’s world, I value the importance of having a support from my life partner and family. If you have all that support, you have the world by your side. My message to all men- Men of quality respect women’s equality.
