The National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla organised a wreath laying ceremony at the Hut of Rememberance in honour of Major Mustafa Bohra, an alumnus of the elite defence training academy.
Major Mustafa Bohra, an alumnus of the 128th NDA course (June 2012) and an officer of 252 Army Aviation was honored in the highest tradition of the Indian Army on 25 October, as he and his fellow Armymen made the supreme sacrifice, being killed in action on 21 October while in service to the nation. The four bravehearts who fell along with Major Mustafa in the ALH crash at Migging, Arunachal Pradesh, included Major Vikas Bhambu, Havildar Biresh Sinha, Naik Rohitashva Kumar and artisan Aswin KV.
“Today as his name gets inscribed in golden letters with full military honor in the sacred Hut of Remembrance, his martyrdom will continue to inspire future generations of NDA cadets. The NDA fraternity offers heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family in this hour of grief.” - NDA press statement.
Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, Commandant of the National Defence Academy paid homage to Major Mustafa on behalf of the entire NDA fraternity.
