paintings on nails by Shiv Singh Solanki

You have heard of nail art… artistic designs on nails for those fashionable nails done with nail polish and glitters and diamonds and what not. What about having your nails painted with natural stone colours?

It is not just about painting the nails with colours, it is actually about having those paintings done on the nails. Images of symbol of love Taj Mahal, famous Rajasthani Bani Thani, elephant, warrior face, tiger, peacock etc. can be made on your nails. You can have any of this done within seconds on your nails.

Many foreign tourists staying in Hotel Janak Niwas at Sahiwalon ki Gali, Bhatiyani Chohatta ,wait to avail the opportunity for getting these mini paintings done on their nails. And they wait patiently because no one likes to leave without this mark on the nail which the owner Shiv Singh Solanki gives them as a gift. While they wait they have enough of miniature paintings to toast their eyes on in the Janak Arts gallery inside the hotel.

Shiv Singh Solanki uses natural stone colours and uses a very fine brush to make the painting on nails. Within 15 seconds or maximum 20 seconds, he makes something beautiful on the nails. The colour dries fast and then he uses a transparent nail coat to cover the painting so that it doesn’t get spoiled. These nail paintings last for around a week on the nails provided you are not doing some rough work that scrapes off the art.

Not just nail art, foreign guests even ask for Henna tattoos which he does beautifully. These henna tattoos could be anything from a series of flowers going down your entire arm to a peacock on the entire back.

So this shows that Udaipur city has people who have unique talents.
