Aditya Swamy to Head Google Play Store Across 14 Countries
With 20+ years of experience at Coca-Cola, Viacom 18 and Flipkart, Aditya Swamy to drive developer growth and startup innovation
Nov 5, 2025 – Google India has promoted Aditya Swamy, its Regional Director of India, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand, to head Google Play Store operations. In this new role as Managing Director, Swamy will handle Google Play business across 14 countries including India, Southeast Asia and Australia.
Swamy, who is an alumnus of the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, will work with investors and app developers and also oversee Google for Startups initiative. He has more than two decades of experience with consumer brands, e-commerce, media and digital platforms with having begun his career with Coca-Cola and then worked with Viacom 18 as CEO of MTV and in a senior marketing role with Flipkart.
