February 14, 2025 - Bloomberg has released a list of the 20 richest families in Asia. This list includes major business families from India, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and South Korea. The Ambani family ranks first in the list of Asia's wealthiest families. Along with the Ambani family, six other Indian families are included in the top 20 wealthiest business families. Four families from Hong Kong are also part of the list.

The top 20 list features the Zhang family from China, the Cheng family from Hong Kong, the Bajaj family from India, and the Kwek/Quek family from Singapore. The Bajaj family ranks 13th, while the Hinduja family is in 18th place.

Since Gautam Adani is a first-generation businessman, he has been excluded from this “dynastic-specific” ranking.

Bloomberg's ranking is based on data up to January 31, 2025. It does not include first-generation wealth (like that of Alibaba's Jack Ma).
