Mumbai under shock of loss as Shiv Sena Superemo Dies

86-year-old Shiv Sena leader and one of the most powerful politicians in the history of Maharashtra, Bala Saheb Thackeray has passed away today afternoon following the cardiac arrest. Dr. Jalil Parkar said, “We could not revive him despite our best effort.”

Thackeray was under constant medical support and was thoroughly observed by doctors, he took his last breath at 3:30 pm at Matoshree, the Thackeray’s Bandra residence. Hundreds and thousands of Shiv Sena activists and supporters of Bal Thackeray gathered outside Matoshree from last few days, since the condition of Thackeray went down.

Yesterday, Uddhav Thackeray, son of Bal Thackeray stated, “Since Wednesday, Shiv Sena chief’s condition is stable”.

Udaipur’s Shiv Sena activists are preparing to leave for Mumbai to offer condolences and show solidarity on the death of their leader.

A meeting will be held today anytime before 6:30 at Shiv Sena Office, Udaipur located near Champalal Dharamshala, Surajpol.
