There was a partial reaction of the countrywide strike today called by many labor unions against the government policies. Apart from banks nothing was closed completely including shops, market, schools and private organizations. Although a few private schools decided to keep close while others remained open.

A large number of activists from various labor unions have gathered outside the Bank Tiraha near Bapu Bazar at around 11 in the morning and proceeded in a form of a rally which concluded in front of Collector’s office. The representatives of INTUC, Bank workers Union and many organizations supported the rally and handed over the letter of demands to the administration.

The Bandh remained peacefully but not effective.
