His company Trash to Treasure produces durable fabrics from PET-grade plastics.

Age is only a number. It has nothing to do with the innovative ideas that engulf your mind and does not stop you from giving wings to your dreams. This has been proved by a 17 year old boy from Bhilwara, who turned plastic waste into useful products and took his startup to heights in no time.

Aditya Banger went to China with his uncle almost 2 yrs back to see and bring new fabric manufacturing techniques to India. The trip proved to be quite a fruitful one and the idea of converting plastic waste into fabric was born and even materialized. While on the trip, Aditya saw a unit that was converting massive waste into fabric that can be converted into wearables. He observed that the waste around was being reduced and consumable product was the ultimate result.

Getting back to India, he shared his ideas with his family and started Trash to Treasure which turns plastic waste into fine quality wearable fabric and other usable products. The waste is collected from local sources and is thoroughly cleaned to remove any adulterating substance and mixed with cotton to produce fiber. Durable fabric is produced from PET-grade plastic.

Aditya Banger says that his company has been able to eradicate waste to the extent of almost 10,000 kg every day since January 2021. Previously the company was buying plastic @ 40 Rs/kg which was not very cost-effective. After this they opened the portal to general public who wish to submit plastic waste. Not only this, but it has also generated employment for many. The project was funded by the parent company, Kanchan India Limited.
