Collector Decides to regulate Billboards & Hoardings
A strong decision of initiating a campaign for removal of all obtrusive hoardings and banners which are a hindrance to city’s beauty was taken today by UIT, Municipal Council and Ajmer Electricity Distribution Board Ltd in a weekly meeting of water, electricity, health et al boards, chaired by District Collector, Hemant Kumar Gera.
A strong decision of initiating a campaign for removal of all obtrusive hoardings and banners which are a hindrance to city’s beauty was taken today by UIT, Municipal Council and Ajmer Electricity Distribution Board Ltd in a weekly meeting of water, electricity, health et al boards, chaired by District Collector, Hemant Kumar Gera.
Hemant Gera told the relevant officials under the campaign, to remove the hoardings which can fall off due to wind and rain and may hurt people. He also told them to register an FIR against the businesses that have put illegal hoardings.
Collector also directed Commissioner of Municipal Council to decide 10 places in the city where Cinemas can place the advertisements of the movies. They will not be allowed to put their advertisements anywhere else in the city. If Cinema Owners break this rule then they will have to face the court of law.
Commissioner of Municipal Council informed in the meeting that 50 hoardings have been removed by the Municipal Council out of which complaints have been registered against 4 people. UIT has also removed 35 hoardings.
