Representatives of BN College and Science College’s Student Unions met the district collector today regarding the seriously wounded employee of Home Guard who is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

The student group appealed collector for financial help as the victim’s family is not financially sound and cannot bear the hospital expenditures.

The patient Arjun Singh Shaktawat was seriously injured when a tree trunk fell on his head in a thunderstorm last week. Shaktawat was on traffic duty when he faced the mishap.

Since then, he is admitted in ICU and is in coma. According to the doctors, his brain is 75 percent damaged and it might take him weeks to recover.

Student leaders Mayurdhwaj Singh and Rajdeep Singh Ranawat said, “Initially, many students raised funds to help Shaktawat but now even they are facing problem in getting more money for the treatment.”

Therefore, the students requested collector to help the patient.
