Lakshya Gadhwal, a student of Class XI at CPS Udaipur is the Udaipur topper at this years KVPY national examination. He secured AIR 146.

Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna is an examination held by the Department of Science and Technology of the Govt of India. It is held to identify students with a high level of academic acumen who have interest in Research in various areas related to Science and Mathematics.

Lakshya, in his conversation with UdaipurTimes, said that his next approach is towards clearing the JEE examinations to secure admission in a college of repute that can provide him a platform for his interest in research. Interestingly, Lakshya's interest is in pursuing research in Mathematics, a subject that he has been fond of since his junior school.

Lakshya, who scored 100% in Mathematics in Class X, follows a fixed study routine. He wakes up at 5am daily and studies for 2 hours before going to school. After his tuitions are done with, he returns home and continues his studies for another 4 hours, making it 6 hours of dedicated studies each day.

His advice to junior students is that they should follow a dedicated study pattern and listen to their teachers.

Lakshya's father works as an Accountant with Girwa Tehsil and his mother is a Lecturer of Social Sciences at Vidhya Bhawan College, Udaipur.
