Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India and former chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission of India, and Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, ILS, Additional Secretary, Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India, felicitated Er. Neha Sakka of Rajasthan with the title of “The Phenomenal She” on the occasion of International Women’s Day celebrated by the Indian National Bar Association (INBA) on 30th March 2024 at The Constitution Club, New Delhi.

 Er. Neha Sakka from Rajasthan was among the Top 40 women chosen meticulously from all across India who were featured in the 6th edition of “The Phenomenal She – Acknowledging Women”. Prominent women leaders, including Padma Shree Awardees from eight fields, Bharat Ratna & Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Awardees, Judges of High Courts, IPS (IG, CRPF) officers, IRS officers, Additional District Magistrates, Members of Parliament, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare & Tribal Affairs, Cabinet Ministers, Food & Consumer Protection Department (Government of Bihar), as well as various other distinguished women leaders, were featured in the sixth edition.

 Er. Neha Sakka is an Electrical Engineer at Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd, posted in Jaipur, and is a native of Udaipur. Apart from her profession, she tirelessly works to save our only home planet – Earth, by accelerating the mass adoption of green technologies such as solar and electric vehicles. With the aim of combating climate change and pollution, she initiated a gratis program called “Trust EV Awareness Oath”. Under this program, she is meeting the challenges faced by green technologies in our country , for example, lack of general awareness among public & technical education among youth, lack of awareness of national & state policies among various stake holders in the green tech industry etc.

She has educated more than 4000+ youth of India in green technologies, providing education worth more than Rs 75 lakhs. In recognition of her efforts, she was honored with the National Excellence Education Award 2022 by Mahendra Nath Pandey, the Honorable Minister of Heavy Industries, Government of India, at the National Youth Parliament 2022. She has also established the world record for “World’s Prominent E-Mobility Educator and Influencer” in the Influencer Book of World Records.
