Well known Veteran Freedom Fighter Ramji Bhai Bheel departed for his heavenly abode today, at his parental home, Village Ukhedi (Kherwada). He was 110 years old. Being ill for quite a few days, Ramji Bhai breathed his last on Wednesday morning.

He was given a state cremation at his village in the early afternoon. His elder son, Kantilal performed the last rites. Deceased Late Ramji Bhai leaves behind 3 sons and 7 daughters.

On behalf of the Rajasthan government, the Minister of Higher Education, State, Dr. Dayaram Parmar paid homage to the deceased, alongwith the Additional District Collector B.R. Bhati.

Born to the home of Mega Bheel Damor, Ramji Bhai ventured out as a freedom fighter after working as a volunteer educationist within his village and on the outskirts. He was sent to various jails including the Central Jail at Udaipur, during his activism as a freedom fighter.
