He gained popularity through his dancing skills in the television dance show Dance India Dance (DID). Vinod Thakur, one of the most noticed contestants in reality show DID reached Udaipur on Tuesday. He is on a very specific mission that we all know as “Save Girl Child”.

The most important part is that Vinod Thakur is all of an enthusiast despite the fact that he uses wheel chair. He started his journey on this great humanitarian mission from Delhi on his wheel chair on 18th March which began from India Gate and will end at Gateway of India in Mumbai. This journey is approximately of 1500 kilometres but with his never-say-die spirit, Vinod is travelling around 40 kilometres every day on his wheel chair. Two of his female students are accompanying him on this journey on foot.

The other motive apart from spreading awareness on “Save Girl Child” is giving a message of to all the divyangs that nothing is impossible and that they are no less. All that is needed is a strong will power and everything turns into a possibility. Vinod also performed some of his dance steps which gave him much popularity on the reality show Dance India Dance.
