With a rough estimate of population in Udaipur, the majority of families come under lower middle or higher middle class. If we talk exceptionally about women in Udaipur and their social life then not much can be said except that most of the women here are less social because of their traditional lifestyle and if some of them are socially active then it is only limited to their own religious groups.

Keeping all debate aside, three women met in a party and discovered their common interests and soon after they met, they came up with a group named Divas. Diva means Goddess; Goddess of humanity, intelligence and perfection.

Divas also known as DivasRBS is a social group of women started in mid 2010, founded by Mrs. Bhuvneshwari Shaktawat, Ridhima Khamesra and Shilpa Chugh. Three of them met in a kitty party and thought to start a young age social club of like minded women. The Mission and Vision of the Club was particularly focused towards social upliftment of Women of Udaipur so they can step out of their homes and showcase their hidden talents and abilities.

5 main objectives of Divas club are:

1. Sustain the spirit of creativity among fellow members.
2. To provide a platform for freedom of thought and innovation
3. To induce spirit of learning and entertainment.
4. To invoke the responsibility towards our society.
5. To finesse friendly contour to our profile.

With strength of around 80 members, composition of this group is quite unique with women from different walks of life like Doctors, Jewelry & Fashion Designers, Tarot Card Readers, Entrepreneurs and Housewives. All members are between the age group of 21 to 35yrs. Every new member is appointed by the final approval by the Board of Directors. Certain amount of membership fee is also charged which they keep on revising. One interesting rule of this group is that every member who crosses the age of 35 get retire from the group. So, Divas is exclusively for young ladies of Udaipur.

The club organizes many events like theme based parties every month. The founding members of the club decide the venue, theme, catering and decorations. The themes are all International with an Indian touch like Hawaiian Aqua, Halloween etc.

Divas is nonprofit club with a main motive of socializing and inculcating spirit of creativity and learning. Freedom of expressing your creativity, showcasing you hidden talent or making new friends. Choices and reasons are many but socializing is a human nature, groups like Divas are best platform to enhance that natural ability of getting socialize.
