About the DORI Foundation

Doctors of Rajasthan International (DORI) Foundation is a unique, not for profit duly registered society formed under the auspices of the Rajasthan Foundation of the Government of Rajasthan. DORI was conceived in July 2020 during the Covid-19 crisis. DORI, which was conceived less than 15 months ago, has now grown to more than 100 doctors of Rajasthan origin living overseas. The members are primarily residents of USA, Canada, UK, EU, UAE, Tajikistan, Singapore, Australia, etc. who have come together to help fellow Rajasthanis by working hand in hand with the state government during the raging Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

With DORI Foundation’s aim to help the state in the field of healthcare and medical education, the first initiative was Doctor’s Lecture Series. The first lecture under this initiative was delivered at the SMS Medical College on 31 March 2021 by the President of DORI Foundation Dr. Jaivir Singh Rathore, a Johns Hopkins Neurologist, Co-Chairman, Epilepsy Foundation of America (Florida). This was followed by inauguration of the “Call DORI” program by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on 22 May 2021 in which any Rajasthani can avail free medical e-consultation using an app (Wondrx), which has revolutionized the healthcare access specially in remote areas of the state.

DORI Foundation, in collaboration with Rajasthan Foundation with support of its commissioner Dhiraj Srivastava, launched its fourth and ambitious project called Doctor's Overseas Training (DORI - DOST) Program, which is created to help medical students and graduates of Rajasthan origin, interested in pursuing residency/fellowship training in international medical programs in the USA, Canada, UK, EU and Australia.
