At the Bharat Lokrang Mahotsav organized by Swarg Rangmandal, Allahabad, Udaipur’s folk virtuoso Dr. Mahendra Bhanawat was given ‘Lok Kala Ratna Samman-2015’ award at the ceremony by IIIT’s director Dr. Somnath Biswas.

Dr. Bhanawat at the ceremony said that the academic curriculum should be introduced with various folk arts and there should be colleges and universities established across the nation for youth to be aware of the richness of the arts and culture of our society.

Secretary of Rangmandal Atul Yaduvanshi informed that Dr. Bhanawat has been, for years contributing in conserving the culture and art forms. For this, he has been recognized worldwide and also considered by students as a subject for research work.
