Working for more than 2 decades in promoting water conservation and drug-addiction programmes, Udaipur’s medical practitioner Dr. P.C Jain was presented with Dalmiya Water-Environment Award for the year 2015.

He received the award from Jhunjhunu’s Shri Ram Krishna Dalmiya Seva Sansthan (Chidawa) by the hands of State Minister of Mines, Forest & Environment Raj Kumar Rinva at sports auditorium of the Sansthan on 27^th November. Dr. Jain also received cash prize of Rs. 21,000 which he announced to spend towards awareness programmes.

This is to consider that Dr. Jain for the last few years has been dedicatedly giving presentations in the form of CD show, street theater, songs, hymns and specialized program ‘Bavdi Bachao-Virasat Bachao’ across Udaipur, Rajsamand, Sirohi and Kankroli where he motivated implementation of rain water harvesting methods.

Dr. Jain is considered to have restarted the use of rain water conservation at 124 years old Rana Pratap Railway Station. He also motivated installation of Devas water filter at Maharana Bhopal Hospital & Medical College along with other places in the city.

Besides environment protection, he has been an ardent motivator to curb drug addiction for which he has given 280 presentations in form of theater, songs and hymns at root level after which around 6000 people have been reported to have stopped consumption of drugs.

Dr. P.C Jain is a proud recipient of ‘IMA Community Service Award for Individuals-2015’ at a national level.
