Dr Vibhuti Narain Rai has been unanimously chosen by the selection committee of Dr Rahi Masoom Raza literary academy.
Several other Littérateurs have been felicitated with this award in the past including Padmshree Dr Kazi Abdul Sattar Sheikh and Padmshree Giriraj Kishore.
Dr Vibhuti Narain Rai, former Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya has been chosen for the Dr Rahi Masoom Raza (Reza) Literary Award 2021. Dr Rai, born on 28 November 1950 is an eminent Littérateur.
Dr Rai has been unanimously chosen for the award by the selection committee of Dr Rahi Masoom Raza Literary Academy. Renowned personalities who have earlier been felicitated with this award include Dr Namita Singh, Padmshree Dr Kazi Abdul Sattar Sheikh; Padmshree Mehrunissa Parvez and Padmshree Giriraj Kishore.
Dr Vibhuti Rai, IPS is an ex-police officer and author from India. He obtained an M.A. in English literature from Allahabad University in 1971 and joined the Indian Police Service in 1975 in the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He retired as Director General of Police in Uttar Pradesh.
The awardees will be felicitated in a webinar on 1st September.
Dr Rahi Masoom Raza (1927-1992) was an Urdu and Hindi poet, writer and Bollywood lyricist. He wrote the script and dialogues for the TV epic Mahabharat.
