‘Do Tigers Drink Blood and 13 Other Mysteries of Nature’, co-authored by Arefa Tehsin and Dr. Raza H. Tehsin was released by Dr. Shashi Tharoor in Delhi on 18^th Dec 2014. Dr. Tehsin is an acclaimed naturalist and Arefa Tehsin is an author and the Hon. Wildlife Warden of Udaipur.

Dr. Tharoor spoke in detail about the key points of the book, chapter-wise, and how such books can help children understand nature better. Praising the book during his address, he said, “You must read this book to your children. And if you do not have children, borrow someone’s child and read this book to him.”

The launch was followed by a panel discussion “Birds, Bees and Books: The ‘B’ Therapy to Nature Deficit Disorder” with Vivek Menon, CEO and Executive Director of Wildlife Trust of India and Ranjit Lal, columnist and author of 25 plus books.

During the discussion, Lal narrated an interesting fable on how the clever copper smith helped the hornbill, who’d used cement instead of mud to build its nest and Menon gave insights into nature and the disconnect that today’s children and adults have with it.

The launch was preceded and followed by four talks by Arefa Tehsin at Pathways School, Gurgaon, Shiv Nadar School, Noida and Mayoor School, Noida on the mysteries of nature.
