Muslims of the city celebrated the festival of Eid ul Adha today with the keen devotion and remembered the great sacrifice, made thousands of years ago by Prophet Ibrahim and his son Prophet Ismail in the name of God.

Thousands of Muslims dressed traditionally gathered at Eid Gaah, Paltan Mosque at Chetak and performed Eid namaz today morning. Thereafter, the crowd cheerfully greeted each other and started performing the sacrifice of goats.

In Saudi Arabia, Eid ul Adha was celebrated yesterday on Oct. 26, also with the celebration, the Islamic pilgrimage of Hajj was also accomplished at the Saudi Arabian city of Makkah, where millions of Muslims visit every year in the Islamic month of Zilhaaj (Dhulhajj).
